Today's post features Fine Art photography by Claude Peschel Dutombe of Bangkok. His work has been described as sophisticated, decorative photography. This post features Kerry Peterson Interiors based in the Los Angeles, CA area (USA). @KPInteriors is my fellow @Chaella Tweeter and on her site I discovered @barbosaart which lead me to discover 'Creative Outreach: Glassblowing for Teens'.
In the video we see teenagers doing glassblowing. These teens attentively execute the delicate choreography associated with making glass art. If it's too hot the glass will turn into a puddle and if it's too cold it will crack and shatter. This is a great after-school youth program that engages kids on many levels. Beautiful work!

E-paper/Electronic Skin Designs for Devices
Philips Research has developed a novel, color e-paper technology that opens up new design opportunities allowing personalization of electronic devices. This means that the color and appearance, of the device's surface, for example an MP3 player or mobile phone, can be changed to match one's outfit, mood or environment at the touch of a button. This technology has the potential to be used, in the future, for larger area e-wallpapers where you can adjust the color of your wall or smart-windows, to regulate the amount of daylight coming through your window.
Exquisitely Creative Digital Artwork
Today's feature: Fantastic Digital Artwork by Stan Bowman
Stan Bowman has been an artist for nearly 50 years and has exhibited his work both nationally and internationally, as a photographer, painter and digital artist. His artwork is in such collections as the San Francisco Museum of Art, Bibilotech National in Paris, German Photographic Society and many other locations.
Since the mid 1980's he has been involved with digital imaging, not only with still images, but also with digital video, 3D animation and digital music.
His recent work is about finding new ways of seeing digital still images, sometimes working at the pixel level. What excites him is discovering new ways of restructuring imagery using current digital technology.
Stan Bowman's digital art is absolutely gorgeous! I love it and I believe you all will, too!
Celebrating Textiles as a Medium for Urbane, Sophisticated Art
Today's feature: Fine Art Textiles & More by Artist Marilyn Henrion
Marilyn Henrion's hand-stitched constructions transform geometric elements into abstract, metaphorical images with strong graphic impact. With frequent references to literature, she uses color, line, and form much as a poet employs words to convey an emotion or idea.
As in poetry, the images are meant to resonate, being both themselves and something they may suggest to the viewer.
With sixteen solo exhibitions to her credit, and with works in museum, corporate and private collections worldwide, Marilyn Henrion’s reputation as one of the foremost contemporary, fiber artists is undisputed.
Recently, Henrion has added digital photography to her repertoire with Metropolis…...a series of photographic images based on the same geometric urban environment that inspires the artist’s textile works.
The artist's papers and sketchbooks are included in the Smithsonian Institution’s Archives of American Art in Washington, DC. Among her many honors is a Fellowship from The New York Foundation for the Arts, awarded in 2002.

Today's feature: The Gorgeous Art of Beverly Carrick
Beverly Carrick was born in California and gravitated to art at a very early age. In 1963, Carrick began to paint professionally and became known as a seascape artist in Laguna Beach and in Los Angeles.
Carrick is mostly self-taught but at the same time, sought the expertise of major artists, luminaries such as Lukits, Kerr, and Franks. The appeal of Carrick's work lies in its timelessness, beauty, and unique interpretation of the Sturm and Drang of nature.
She is well-known for her famed purple deserts, as well as mountain-land-and-seascapes. Carrick also finds inspiration in Roman and Greek saga which carry over into fantasy work. Moreover, Carrick loves to paint Western art and can catch both the seriousness and the subtle aspects of the "human condition" as it relates to the cowboys and townsfolk, alike.
