Industrial Lichens
Hello, Everyone! Today's featured image is, 'Lichens in Colorado' a photograph of an industrial object's surface that is in such a state that it looks like Colorado lichens. It is the photographic work of DL Ritter and depicts the Japanese aesthetic of 'Wabi-Sabi'. The aesthetic is sometimes described as one of beauty that is "imperfect, impermanent and incomplete".
As I look at 'Linchens in Colorado' I see a beautiful abstract painting-like art image. I'm grateful to DL Ritter for making his photographic works from the Phoenix 2003-2008 series, shareable. Look for more of this series in future posts, here. Thank-you, again, DL Ritter!
